| ENGAGE trip to LA Zoo, Los Angeles |
|
ENGAGE is a program that is funded by money collected from a recycling program and that is mostly used for materials for our weekly activities. We were lucky enough to have a group sponsor a trip to the Long Beach Aquarium. The children had a great time spending some time out of their community and experiencing a new and educational environment. Many of the children have requested to do another similar trip to the LA Zoo. The funds will help pay for admission for our 20 children and 5 supervisors. And they will once again get to experience an educational setting where they can be engaged in. |

| About ENGAGE |
| Jihi is collaborating with ENGAGE on this project. ENGAGE is a program created by USC Occupational Therapy Students that wanted to work with at-risk youth in their community to provide them opportunities for them to engage in various activities that they may not otherwise have an opportunity to participate in. The program is rooted in the premise that children need different positive opportunities to participate in to expand horizons, assist in their development, and to build character. Read More |
